As a passionate reader and writer, I consider myself a creative soul. Yet, when it came to creating my own journal from scratch, I quickly realized it wasn't as effortless as I imagined.
My attempts never quite matched the beauty of those I admired online, leaving me feeling discouraged as I stashed my journal away, forgotten.
But then, I had an idea. Why not design my own template for a reading journal, tailored to my preferences? And so, I did. I created a simple yet personalized layout that I could decorate and color according to my mood and needs each day.

So I took action and printed out my custom template, finally able to begin filling it with my thoughts and embellishing it with stickers or printed paper, affixed with glue for an added touch of decoration.
Opting for thicker paper allows for the use of coloring pens or even paint to add vibrant hues to the pages.
For me, this simple approach was more than sufficient to satisfy my creative urges, and, most importantly, it reignited the joy of journaling. Will my creation ever rival the exquisite ones showcased on TikTok or Instagram? Probably not. But that's okay, because this journal is mine – a reflection of my thoughts and experiences, not a showpiece for others.
